Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
EuZap is a personal assistant service that connects to your WhatsApp account. This policy explains what data we process, why, and what your rights are under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) and, for people in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
2. Data we process
- Sign-up: name, email, WhatsApp phone number, language, time zone and password (stored only as a hash).
- WhatsApp conversations: text messages, voice notes, images, documents and videos from the chats the assistant can access, with the name and number of the sender.
- Derived data: transcripts, group summaries, member and contact lists, financial entries, events, reminders and notes you ask the assistant to keep.
- Usage and billing: number of AI calls, plan, subscription status. Card details stay with Mercado Pago or Stripe; we do not receive them.
3. AI providers: DeepSeek and Groq
To understand messages and generate replies, we send the necessary content to DeepSeek. To transcribe voice notes (and the audio of videos), we send the audio to Groq. These providers process data on servers that may be outside Brazil and outside the European Union, and they have their own policies. We do not send them your password or payment data. We use them to provide the service; we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
4. Third-party conversations
Your chats contain messages from other people, who have not accepted these terms. By connecting WhatsApp and turning on transcription, summaries or automatic replies in a chat, you decide that its content will be processed, and you are responsible for using the service lawfully and respectfully toward those people. In groups, the assistant does not reply in the group: transcripts, summaries and exports are sent only to your private chat. Avoid turning the service on in conversations containing highly sensitive information about third parties.
5. Risk of being banned by WhatsApp
The connection uses an unofficial method, similar to WhatsApp Web. WhatsApp may restrict or ban numbers that use automation, and we have no control over that decision. By using the service you accept that risk. We recommend weighing it before connecting a number you depend on.
6. Where it is kept and for how long
Data is kept in our database, separated by customer. We keep it for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we erase your data and the WhatsApp connection (see below). Backups may take some time to expire.
7. Your rights: access, rectification, erasure and portability
- Access and portability: in the app, under More › Account › “Export my data”. You receive a JSON file with your data in a structured format.
- Erasure: under More › Account › “Delete account”. It requires your password, disconnects WhatsApp and erases your data. Deletion is permanent.
- Rectification: you can edit your name and phone number on the Account screen.
- Other requests provided for by the LGPD and the GDPR (information about sharing, restriction of or objection to processing, withdrawal of consent): contact the service’s support. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in Brazil, the ANPD).
People who appear in conversations and want their data removed can ask the person using the service, or support.
8. Security
Passwords are stored as hashes, sessions can be revoked and communications use HTTPS. No system is completely immune; we will notify you of relevant incidents as required by law.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced in the app. The date at the top shows the version in force.
